Introduction
Hello everyone! Name’s Tin! Welcome to my little corner of the internet. I dare say I live a good life, yet somehow I find it unsatisfying. I want to be out there. I want to experience life, get a job, make videogames, write a blog (which I’m currently doing right now duh). So many things I want to do, yet so little time and effort exerted on those stuff. Maybe this is a great start?
Why I’m Writing This Blog
I am writing this Blog because for various reasons I want to immortalize my thoughts, I want to write a wikipedia of me. This site’s first goal is to write for myself, then writing for readers as the second goal. I have always thought about writing a journal but I am too lazy for that.
How I Got Here
I graduated in Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering last May of 2023, took a billion attempts at pursuing a license but never really got to finish my reviews, so I ended up failing and failing years after years, until just this month (August 2026), I finally decided to stop pursuing a license for it.
A Little About Me
I am a 26-year-old guy from the Philippines who is currently unemployed. I am diagnosed with Bipolar Type 2 disorder and you could say it made me way funnier than i should be LOL. Anyway, with that aside, let’s talk about the things I do and enjoy.
I enjoy a teeny bit of Programming, I always wanted to do it for a living. Currently I can program in OpenRA YAML, SQL, HTML, CSS but just basics though, never really good-good at those. I am currently taking the CS50 Web Development Course. It’s been good so far but I am at a really sluggish pace at the moment. Here’s hoping I can grind on that course someday, before the Course ends this January 2027.
Another thing I enjoy is 3d Modelling, I have made countless 3d assets. There is a game called “OpenRA” and for that game, there is a mod called “Cameo” and I made assets for them. I used and learned Blender last February 2025 up until June 2025. (Thanks to Cameo I also learned YAML btw) So, what really happened? Why’d I leave? I don’t want to bad mouth the devs but let’s just say disagreements about game design and use of AI led to me leaving the company.
I also write a bit of poetry especially when I am in love or on days I *really* hate myself. Whenever strong emotions build up inside me, I always want to write about it. Maybe soon I’ll start writing here, let this site serve as an outlet.
On the topic of poetry, I also enjoy writing fiction a lot, but never really published anything ever since. I have always been a fan of writing fictions in the genre of both Fantasy and Cyberpunk.
I grew up playing a lot of video games. Growing up I played Spore and Garry’s Mod a lot, I love the idea of creating inside those games, it spearheaded my love for the sandbox genre of videogames. Now I enjoy an even greater variety of videogames ranging from; Open World, RPG, First Person Shooter, Third Person Shooter, Story-driven. Anything that peaks my interest. I play them.
With videogames in mind, I also delve deep into game design, the idea of engineering the pacing and choices directly impacting the fun factor of videogames really sounds interesting to me.
What I Love
Warcraft 3 (Pre-WoW)
I grew up playing Warcraft 3’s campaign, custom campaigns, and custom maps. It sparked my curiosity and creativity in making videogames, writing fiction, and game design as a whole.
I have always loved Warcraft 3’s storyline, especially Arthas’ campaign. His slow decay of humanity in his pursuit of Malganis. It has always been the strongest plot point in the game.
Fallout New Vegas
This game is peak game design and lore. The Casino Tower known as Lucky 38 being visible everywhere in the map, and it being the goal destination from the start is simply genius. The lore of both NCR and Caesar’s Legion is also well written.
Skyrim
Who doesn’t love Skyrim? The open world aspect of this is simply unmatched even by today’s standards. This game is legendary for a reason.
Morrowind
I love this game as much as Skyrim for it’s exploration but as well as it’s environment. The environment is simply mind boggling, its alien like architecture, fauna, and flora, and overall feel is simply great. (can’t wait for Skywind)
Cyberpunk 2077
This game’s soundtrack and environment goes well together, it’s a world that is so lived in that it’s worth exploring every nook and cranny. This is an open world videogame that can *almost* rival Skyrim and Morrowind in terms of exploration but it’s strongest feature is not for it’s free roam aspect, but it’s storytelling and plot. (Can’t wait to play Phantom Liberty some day though!)
Altered Carbon
I am intensely obsessed with this series’ premise. Humans in the distant future no longer have their conscience in the brain, and is instead in what’s called a “stack” which is in the nape. In other words, people in this series can die but can be “revived” by transferring into available bodies. There is a scene in the series where a young girl died and due to poverty, is instead given a body from the impound. The twist? it’s a body of a middle aged woman. Kind of messed up if you think about it, your child in the body of a middle aged woman. Doesn’t that entice you? If that doesn’t entice you, how about I tell you more about the lore? Okay, so people’s conscience are in stacks right? Imagine how easy it is to solve murders, being that you are your own witness. So if you die, you can technically be resurrected. But Neo-Catholics consider resurrection a sin. So some people who are neo-catholics can’t serve as witnesses for their own murders. That’s one of the main story’s plot points btw. (is this a spoiler? haha)
Red Dead Redemption 2
This game is peak immersion and storytelling. It is set around the end of the Wild west era and tells the story of Arthur Morgan. This is a game where the world feels very alive. I dare say it challenges Skyrim with how immersive and lived in the world is.
Deus Ex
One of the classic videogame trilogies I simply love. This game set in a dystopian cyberpunk setting has so many ways to accomplish each mission, this is an OG when it comes to the immersive-sim genre.
Prey (2017)
Another Immersive-sim game I greatly adore. This videogame is like deus ex in terms of having so many ways to finish each mission, but this is more of an open world inside an abandoned space station setting. You are free to traverse in this space station and open up paths depending on the tools and powers you currently have to help you achieve your goals. This game is simply amazing in terms of options.
What I’ve Learned
I have learned that I am stuck doing nothing in life LOL and I am currently trying to fix that. My Girlfriend has been a great inspiration for moving forward in life, before I met her I’ve always thought my life can end anytime, now I actually look forward in the future.
Where I Am Now
After numerous attempts at getting a license for my college course, now I’m here! Trying to make a name for myself in a world almost dystopian thanks to AI and Job Market being utterly crap. I am learning Programming and taking my Spanish Classes this September. Here’s hoping it all amounts to something someday.
Where I’m Going
Where I’m literally going is to Spain! Someday! But for now, I am heading towards an undecided path in the future. I don’t know If I’ll be a successful webdev or a gamedev, or something else. But here’s hoping I’ll get there someday!
Closing Thoughts
With all that in mind, I hope you enjoyed reading my introduction. It’s a lot especially when it comes to things I love, i know! LOL. Moving forward, you’ll expect more blogs about myself in terms of game, series, and movie reviews, game design stuffs, programming journey, about me finding a job and more! and that’s all folks! See ya’ll around!
